The Sri Lankans were set to commence a full schedule of Test and one-day internationals against New Zealand when the tsunami hit their homeland on December 26 last year.
Following the disaster, the side returned home at the request of Sri Lanka Cricket.
In the Sri Lankans' absence, New Zealand hosted a series of three one-day matches between the Black Caps and a Rest of the World XI which raised more than one million dollars (710,000 US) for tsunami victims.
